DATA DELETION
How to request deletion
This page explains the current account-deletion path and what may happen to the personal data associated with your Chị Ánh IELTS account.
1. Manage your account
When signed in, open the user menu and choose “Manage account.” This opens the Clerk account portal, where you can manage account information. Whether Clerk’s self-service “Delete account” control is enabled is configured outside this codebase and must be confirmed in the production Clerk settings.
2. If account deletion is available
If the Clerk portal displays a Delete account control, follow the on-screen confirmation steps there. When Clerk sends its user-deleted webhook, the application deletes the corresponding profile record from Supabase.
3. If account deletion is not available
If the portal does not offer deletion, submit a manual deletion request through the public privacy contact listed below once it has been configured. Please include the email address associated with your account so the request can be verified. Do not send passwords, payment credentials, or other secrets.
4. Associated application data
The application currently holds profile information, Reading and Listening practice attempts, Writing submissions and grading records, notifications, access grants, writing-credit cycles, and order-related records. The current Clerk deletion webhook deletes the matching profile record only. It does not, by itself, delete attempts, writing submissions, orders, grants, credits, notifications, or payment-event records. A verified manual request is therefore needed to assess and action associated data deletion.
5. Records we may retain
Some transaction or security records may need to be retained where required for legitimate legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. We do not publish a fixed retention period because the current application has no automatic retention schedule.
